About these terms
These Terms of Use apply to the public website at traleemasjidkicc.ie, operated by Kerry Islamic Cultural Centre (KICC), including its public prayer, community, recording, Learning & Reflection and donation features. They do not govern KICC’s private staff administration system or an unbuilt mobile application.

By using the public service, you agree to follow these terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the affected feature. Nothing here removes a right or remedy that Irish law says cannot be excluded.
The public service
KICC provides community information such as salah and Jumu’ah times, programme details, directions, notices, fundraising updates, live or recorded audio and reviewed learning material. Some information comes from KICC systems and some comes from identified service providers.
KICC may improve, suspend, correct or withdraw a feature where needed for accuracy, safety, licensing, maintenance, provider availability or responsible stewardship. KICC will try to keep important public information available, but does not promise uninterrupted or error-free access.
The Privacy Policy explains how the public website uses personal information, cookies and local browser storage.
Children and guardian-led use
Public information, recordings and learning material may be read or listened to by people of any age. A parent or guardian must handle a donation, contact-form submission, Madrasa enquiry or community registration on behalf of a child.
Do not ask a child to send confidential or sensitive information through KICC’s general contact form. A parent or guardian should contact KICC first to arrange an appropriate channel. Safeguarding concerns may be handled or shared where lawfully necessary to protect a child or another person.
Formspree’s current Free plan stores 30 days of contact-form submission history. KICC’s enquiry-inbox retention and deletion process is under review, so the general form must not be used for sensitive information.
Information, not personal advice
Prayer times, community notices, recordings, articles, quizzes, references and external links are general community, educational and devotional information. They are not personalised religious rulings, legal advice, medical advice, financial advice or a substitute for an appropriately qualified professional who understands your circumstances.
For a personal Islamic question, contact a suitably qualified KICC imam or scholar. For an urgent medical, safeguarding or emergency matter, contact the appropriate emergency or professional service rather than a website form.
Salah and Jumu’ah information can change because of local decisions, seasonal calculations, daylight-saving changes or exceptional events. Check the current KICC notice or contact the Masjid when being on time is critical. A timetable or notification does not guarantee that a service will proceed exactly as first published.
Recordings and lesson adaptations
KICC publishes selected audio recordings of identifiable speakers only with their consent and, where the material reveals religious belief, their explicit consent for that information. Speakers retain rights they own in their teaching and performance. Editing, titles and supporting presentation may belong to KICC or another identified rights holder.
A Learning & Reflection publication is a KICC-reviewed lesson adaptation. It is not a transcript, fatwa, peer-reviewed paper, scholarly research paper or guarantee of a teacher’s exact wording. The source recording remains the primary source for the teacher’s words.
Artificial intelligence may assist with clean-verbatim transcription, structuring and drafting. Scripture references, Arabic, transliteration, meaning, people references and the public article require KICC editorial review before publication. The public disclosure on each adaptation forms part of these terms.
KICC may retain a published recording or adaptation and the necessary internal publication record for as long as it remains published. Temporary, duplicate and superseded working material does not receive that indefinite publication retention. Withdrawn material is reviewed under the retention schedule in the Privacy Policy.
Do not quote an adaptation as though it were an exact quotation from the speaker. Verify any material decision or religious conclusion against the recording, the linked primary source and a qualified teacher.
Optional quizzes and hints
A lesson may include an optional multiple-choice quiz, hints and practical actions for private reflection. These are self-study aids, not examinations, qualifications, assessments of faith or religious rulings. A score does not determine access to KICC, publication of an article or any other benefit.
Quiz feedback simplifies lesson material and may not capture every valid nuance. Re-read the article, listen to the recording and ask a qualified teacher where a question needs fuller treatment.
Acceptable use
You may use the service only lawfully and respectfully. You must not:
- interfere with security, availability, consent controls, access controls, rate limits or another person’s use of the service;
- upload or send malicious code, deceptive reports, unlawful content, harassment, threats or another person’s private information without a lawful reason;
- impersonate KICC, a speaker, scholar, committee member or another person, or falsely suggest that KICC endorses your material;
- scrape, harvest, systematically download, mirror or build a dataset from recordings, articles, Quran text, hadith, contact details or service responses without written permission;
- use KICC or third-party content to train, evaluate or supply a machine- learning system without every necessary written permission; or
- remove attribution, source information, copyright notices, scripture references or editorial disclosures.
Ordinary browser use, accessibility technology and standard search indexing that respects published technical instructions are not prohibited. KICC may restrict abusive traffic or withdraw access to a feature where reasonably necessary to protect the service or another person.
Copyright and permitted use
Unless a page identifies another owner or licence, KICC owns or is authorised to use the website’s original design, editorial copy, graphics, photographs and compilations. Quran text, translations, hadith material, recordings, speaker contributions, news material and provider brands can have separate owners and conditions.
You may read, print or save a reasonable copy for personal, non-commercial study; share an ordinary link to a public page; and use a brief, accurately attributed quotation where copyright law or the applicable licence permits it. This permission does not allow bulk republication, selling copies, creating a competing archive, altering a quotation, or presenting KICC or third-party material as your own.
For classroom distribution, publication, broadcasting, translation, commercial use or a substantial extract, contact info@traleemasjidkicc.ie and obtain permission from every relevant rights holder before use.
Quran and third-party content
Quran and hadith extracts are sacred source material and may also be subject to provider, translator, publisher or database rights. A source link and citation do not transfer those rights to KICC or to you. Follow the terms shown by Quran.com, Quran Foundation, Sunnah.com and any named translator or publisher.
“KICC Tralee Masjid — Learning & Reflection” is independent from Quran Foundation, Quran.com and QuranReflect. KICC does not claim their endorsement. The Quran Foundation integration keeps credentials, token exchange and authenticated source retrieval server-to-server and restricted to the content scope. Reviewed extracts are then displayed in public KICC lessons. It does not access visitor accounts, OAuth tokens, bookmarks, notes or other Quran Foundation user data, and it uses no redirect or post-logout URI. KICC will not resell or bulk redistribute Quran Foundation content, or use it for advertising or artificial-intelligence or machine-learning training.
Reviewed and synchronised. KICC uses M.A.S. Abdel Haleem English translation resource 85 and full-ayah transliteration resource 57. Selected, reviewed extracts may remain with a published lesson. KICC recommends an administrator-run Quran Foundation content-delta check every six months; this reminder is advisory; affected material is withdrawn, refreshed and reviewed again by an administrator before republication. The removed Clear Quran resource 131 is not used without new written permission.
Permission to use KICC’s page does not override a third party’s licence. If the relevant provider withdraws or changes permission, KICC may remove, replace or limit the affected material. A content delta can temporarily withdraw a lesson even when the underlying permission has not changed.
External services and links
The public site can use or link to Firebase and Google Cloud, Google Analytics, Google Maps, SumUp, Formspree, Mixlr, MyMasjid, Microsoft Forms, WhatsApp, GoFundMe, PayPal, Quran Foundation and Sunnah.com. Some services load only after your consent or a deliberate action. Their own terms and privacy notices govern information you give directly to them.
Google Maps use is also subject to the Google Maps/Google Earth Additional Terms and Google Terms of Service. An external link is provided for convenience or source verification; it is not necessarily a KICC endorsement of everything on that service.
The Kerry Muslim Database link opens a Microsoft-hosted form. Microsoft applies its own terms and privacy notice to information entered there.
Donations and payment corrections
A donation is a voluntary gift to support KICC’s charitable work or an identified appeal. Check the amount, currency, destination and payment details before confirming. Card information entered in the SumUp widget is processed by SumUp under its terms; external donation providers apply their own terms and fees.
A completed donation is normally final. KICC will fairly review a promptly reported duplicate charge, unauthorised transaction, processing mistake, legal obligation or exceptional circumstance. A request does not guarantee a refund, particularly where funds have already been applied to the stated charitable purpose or provider fees cannot be recovered.
Email info@traleemasjidkicc.ie as soon as possible with the date, amount, provider and safe transaction reference. Never send a full card number or security code. KICC may request proportionate evidence and may direct you to your payment provider for an unauthorised transaction or chargeback process.
Nothing in this section excludes mandatory rights or remedies that apply under Irish law.
Corrections and takedowns
KICC welcomes a specific report about a factual error, scripture reference, accessibility problem, rights issue, inaccurate attribution, privacy concern or content that may cause harm. Email info@traleemasjidkicc.ie with the page link, issue, supporting evidence and a safe way to reply.
KICC may correct, annotate, temporarily unpublish or remove material while a report is reviewed. KICC may ask for evidence of identity, authority or rights where needed to avoid a fraudulent takedown. Honest disagreement does not automatically require removal, but KICC will consider accuracy, safeguarding, privacy, copyright, speaker permission and the public interest.
Availability and responsibility
KICC takes reasonable care with its own public material and security, but information can become outdated and external services can fail or change without KICC’s control. To the extent Irish law permits, the service is provided without a promise that every feature will always be available, complete, suitable for a particular purpose or free from error.
You remain responsible for how you rely on general information, for checking important details and for protecting your device and account credentials on external services. KICC is not responsible for an independent third party’s content, security, availability or decision.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, wilful misconduct, breach of data-protection duties, or any other liability or consumer right that cannot lawfully be limited. Any other exclusion or limitation applies only to the maximum extent permitted by Irish law.
Changes, Irish law and contact
KICC may update these terms when the service, providers, permissions or law changes. The page will show a fixed version, effective date and last-updated date. A material change applies prospectively from the stated date; it does not silently rewrite a completed donation or remove an accrued mandatory right.
These terms and disputes relating to the public service are governed by Irish law. The Irish courts have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer right to bring a claim elsewhere or use another lawful dispute process.
Questions, permissions, corrections or concerns may be sent to info@traleemasjidkicc.ie or to KICC at the postal address in section 1.
