Sunnah

Friday is the best of days. The Prophet ﷺ encouraged Muslims to honour it with these deeds:

Send abundant salawat Upon the Messenger of Allah ﷺ throughout the day and night of Jumu’ah.
Pray Fajr in congregation On the morning of Jumu’ah.
Read Sūrah al-Kahf For light between the two Jumu’ahs.
Bathe and wear your best clothes Applying perfume where possible.
Use the miswāk and perfume As part of preparing for the prayer.
Go early to the masjid Sit close to the imām for the khutbah.
Walk to the masjid Where you can, listening attentively and remaining silent.
Make du‘ā Especially in the period after ‘Asr before Maghrib.
